Immanuel Lutheran Church quilting group assembles quilts through the recycling of fabrics, sheets, and blankets purchased or donated to the church. Instead of having these items filling up landfills, beautiful one of a kind quilts are assembled. These quilts are then shipped through Lutheran World Relief who provide assistance throughout the world. Immanuel has actively contributed to this cause since it's inception in 1951 and still continues today. Every October, quilts are displayed in the sanctuary for a blessing before being packed up and shipped out. In addition, the quilters honor our congregation's high school graduates each year with a gift of a quilt of their choice. The quilting group meets at 9:00am on the 4th Wednesday of every month. This is a welcoming group that offers the opportunity for fellowship while sewing and assembling quilts. If you are interested in joining this group please contact the church office at (308)432-5408
